Job Description In this role, you'll be part of a dynamic firmware team focused on Nokia's next-generation Optical Engine for long-haul and metro applications. Working alongside cross-functional teams, you'll implement and refine solutions for complex problems in Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing transport products. Your contributions will directly support the efficiency and reliability of cutting-edge optical technologies. How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn Design, implement, and test code for next-generation Optical Engine firmware used in Long Haul, Metro, and Data Center Interconnects.Develop and maintain Firmware Requirement and Design documents.Collaborate with optical, hardware, FPGA, software, manufacturing, and test teams to support seamless integration.Support knowledge transfer to manufacturing processes.Debug and resolve customer issues effectively.Contribute to testing documentation to ensure product quality and compliance.Participate in design reviews and provide technical input.Identify and suggest improvements to firmware development processes and methodologies. Key Skills And Experience Must-Have: BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field4+ years of embedded software development experience in a multithreaded real-time environmentStrong C/C++ programming skillsExperience with device driver development for Linux or Real-Time Operating SystemsGood analytical and troubleshooting abilities Nice-To-Have: Experience with scripting languagesHands-on experience with Zynq and ARM processorsFamiliarity with firmware requirements and design documentationKnowledge of optical engineering conceptsExperience working with cross-functional teams
