Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Job Description A premier financial services and wealth management organization is hiring a Cloud Security Engineer to join its Enterprise Cybersecurity team. This role sits at the intersection of cybersecurity, cloud platform engineering, and digital innovation, supporting a large-scale environment that delivers investment, retirement, brokerage, and wealth management solutions to millions of clients. As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will focus on building secure-by-design cloud platforms that enable engineering teams to develop and deploy applications safely at enterprise scale. Rather than serving as a traditional security operations resource, you will act as a strategic security partner to cloud architects, platform teams, and software engineers, helping embed security controls directly into cloud-native services and development workflows. You will be responsible for enhancing cloud governance programs, developing automated security guardrails, improving identity-centric security controls, and supporting the organization's migration of critical business applications to public cloud infrastructure. The position requires a strong understanding of modern cloud architecture, automation, and risk management, along with the ability to influence technical decisions across a large and complex technology ecosystem. You will also work closely with compliance, audit, and risk stakeholders to ensure cloud environments meet security and regulatory standards while maintaining speed and agility for the business. Required Skills & Experience Experience securing large-scale AWS and Azure environments Strong understanding of cloud governance and security architecture Experience implementing Zero Trust security principles Deep knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) Experience with SSO, MFA, PAM, and identity federation technologies Hands-on experience with Terraform, Terraform Enterprise, or CloudFormation Experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines Strong scripting skills using Python, PowerShell, or Bash Experience with CSPM, CNAPP, or cloud governance platforms Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and security compliance standards Desired Skills & Experience Experience supporting large enterprise cloud transformation initiatives Financial services or fintech industry experience Experience securing digital customer-facing applications and APIs Knowledge of Kubernetes, container security, and service mesh technologies Experience with AWS Organizations and Azure Landing Zones CISSP, CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, or Azure Security certifications Experience working within highly regulated environments Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field What You Will Be Doing Daily Responsibilities 100% Hands On Build cloud security standards, reference architectures, and enterprise guardrails Develop automated controls that continuously validate cloud security compliance Partner with cloud platform teams to secure shared services and infrastructure Design and maintain identity security solutions across cloud ecosystems Implement secure patterns for API, microservice, and application deployments Evaluate cloud risks and provide remediation guidance to engineering teams Drive security automation initiatives that reduce manual operational overhead Support compliance initiatives related to data protection and financial regulations Conduct cloud architecture reviews for high-impact business initiatives Enhance enterprise-wide visibility through cloud monitoring, reporting, and governance solutions The Offer Bonus OR Commission eligible You will receive the following benefits Medical Insurance Dental Benefits Vision Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) (including match, if applicable) Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.
