Job Description: Seeking a hands-on Full Stack Java Engineer to build the application layer of a secure, enterprise data platform. This individual will own development across the database, backend/middleware, APIs, and user-facing application while working directly with client stakeholders to translate mission requirements into production solutions. This is a highly autonomous role requiring strong Java/Spring development, enterprise database expertise, secure authentication, and containerized deployment experience. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Build full-stack enterprise applications using Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and modern frontend technologiesDevelop user-facing applications that allow analysts to access and interact with enterprise dataBuild middleware, REST APIs, and integrations connecting frontend applications to backend data platformsWork with enterprise databases using SQL, stored procedures, schemas, and complex data modelsDevelop UI components based on business and technical requirements, including navigation, accessibility, and responsive interactionsTranslate client requirements into technical designs and independently take solutions from concept through productionImplement authentication, authorization, PKI/certificate-based security, RBAC, and identity integrationsDeploy and support containerized applications using Docker and OpenShift/RHELExecute builds, testing, environment validation, releases, and rollback procedures within a secure, air-gapped environmentTroubleshoot application, database, authentication, and deployment issues independentlySupport data-driven and predictive intelligence use cases, including analytics and streamlined analyst workflowsCollaborate directly with client stakeholders, architects, and cloud engineering teamsDemonstrate solutions, explain technical decisions, gather feedback, and iterate based on client needsMaintain secure, reliable, and well-documented solutions in accordance with DevSecOps practicesMinimum Requirements: Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph4-5+ years of hands-on enterprise software development experienceStrong Java development experienceStrong Spring/Spring Boot experienceFull-stack development experience spanning database, backend, APIs, and frontend/UIEnterprise database experience with SAP HANA or comparable platformsStrong SQL experience, including stored procedures and data querying/manipulationExperience building middleware and REST APIsFrontend development experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and a modern frameworkDocker and OpenShift/RHEL deployment experienceExperience with PKI/certificate-based authentication, including X.509 and/or mTLSExperience implementing authentication, authorization, identity integrations, and role-based accessExperience building, testing, deploying, and troubleshooting production applicationsAbility to independently translate business requirements into technical solutionsStrong client-facing communication and consulting skillsPreferred Qualifications:Direct SAP HANA development experienceGovernment or defense program experienceExperience working within classified, air-gapped, or highly regulated environmentsAWS/cloud application development experienceImage processing experience using OpenCV or similar technologiesETL/data pipeline experience with NiFi, KNIME, Airflow, or TalendPredictive analytics, machine learning, NLP, or spatial data experience
