What You'll Do
Design, build, and maintain high-performance, low-latency C++ applications that support trading, market data processing, and investment decision-makingCollaborate directly with traders, quants, and portfolio managers to translate business and research requirements into robust, production-grade softwareOptimize systems for speed, reliability, and scalability, working close to the metal where performance is criticalContribute to the full software lifecycle, including architecture, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing supportParticipate in code reviews, design discussions, and engineering best practices to maintain a high bar for code qualityTroubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, often under time-sensitive conditionsContinuously evaluate and adopt new tools, frameworks, and approaches to improve system performance and developer productivity
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (advanced degree a plus)5+ years of professional experience developing production software in modern C++ (C++11/14/17/20)Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, multithreading, and systems-level programmingExperience building or working with high-performance, low-latency, or real-time systemsSolid understanding of Linux/Unix development environmentsExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environmentStrong communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersA high degree of intellectual curiosity, ownership, and attention to detail
Preferred, but not required:
Prior experience in financial services, trading systems, or quantitative environmentsFamiliarity with market data protocols, exchange connectivity, or order management systemsExposure to Python or other scripting languages for tooling and automationExperience with distributed systems, messaging middleware, or cloud infrastructure
