Software Engineer – Frontend | Portugal Our client is a venture-backed tech company building the real-time data platform behind some of the world's most demanding applications - a cloud-native database that handles high-performance transactional and analytical workloads at scale. You'll work in a small, collaborative team, sitting close to Product and Design, helping build the best possible user experience for managing a database in the cloud. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys deep technical challenges, takes pride in building things that hold up under real use, and likes mentoring others while staying hands-on themselves. What you'll be doing: Working closely with product managers, designers, customers, and fellow engineers to deliver a genuinely high-quality experienceBuilding out a world-class managed service that gives users an innovative way to operate their database in the cloudHelping shape the team's engineering process so it scales and keeps delivering on timeMentoring less experienced engineers and helping keep the team culture welcomingWorking primarily frontend, with some flexibility to work across the stack when needed What you'll bring: Solid experience with React and TypeScriptA good understanding of application architecture in the browser2+ years working on a SaaS productGenuine curiosity about digging into issues that affect real business metricsA real focus on building high-quality, maintainable products with the user experience front and center, in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Nice to have: Some backend experience - Go, Python, or Rust Why this role: You'd be joining a team that's shipped some genuinely interesting frontend work recently - faster portal load times, a much-improved SQL editor experience, a 5x faster command search, and notebooks that load 10x quicker.
