R&D Software Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our international R&D team, working with colleagues in the UK and Germany to develop the next generation of environmental monitoring technology.
What We Are Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Electronic Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.Strong commercial experience developing embedded software in C/C++.Experience with embedded microcontrollers and real-time embedded systems.Good understanding of embedded hardware, electronic schematics and hardware/software integration.Experience using Git and modern software development practices.Strong debugging, testing and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Desirable Skills
Experience with STM32, Renesas, Microchip or Atmel microcontrollers.Knowledge of MISRA C, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.Experience with embedded Linux or RTOS.Understanding of functional safety or safety-critical software (IEC 61508/SIL).Familiarity with FPGA/VHDL development.Experience using Jira, Confluence or similar Agile development tools.Python, MATLAB or LabVIEW experience.
