Full Stack Engineer

Fully remote 6 month contract with extensions and potential conversion! Job Description This role is a hands-on Full Stack Web Developer position responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing both modern web applications and WordPress-based websites that support MED Project's business operations. The individual will develop front-end and back-end solutions using technologies such as Next.js, React, Node.js, TypeScript, PHP, and WordPress, while also managing database-driven functionality in PostgreSQL and MySQL. Responsibilities include designing and supporting APIs, integrating third-party and internal systems, troubleshooting application and website issues, optimizing performance and accessibility, and participating in the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering through deployment and ongoing support. In addition to web development, the role has a strong focus on Azure-based integrations and cloud services, including Azure API Management, Azure Service Bus, and Azure Functions. The developer will support secure, scalable integrations, monitor application performance, assist with deployments, and help automate business processes. They will also be responsible for website administration activities such as content updates, testing, documentation, quality assurance, security compliance, and system monitoring across development, staging, and production environments. The position requires close collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders, internal business teams, external vendors, and leadership to translate business needs into effective technical solutions. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, a commitment to secure coding and accessibility standards, experience with GitHub and CI/CD processes, and the ability to contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance system reliability, development practices, and overall user experience.
