About the Opportunity The Cloud Engineer II plays a critical role in designing, optimizing, automating, and supporting AWS cloud environments. This position ensures the reliability, scalability, and security of cloud infrastructure while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align cloud solutions with business objectives. The role is essential to maintaining resilient AWS infrastructure that supports the organization’s financial services. Responsibilities • Develop and support cloud strategies, adoption, and migration processes. • Design, implement, maintain, and support AWS cloud infrastructure. • Monitor cloud resource utilization, application performance, and security posture. • Develop technical solutions, design specifications, and reference architectures for AWS environments. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate SLAs, KRIs, and KPIs and support cloud application deployments. • Partner with IT security teams to monitor cloud security, privacy, and compliance. • Implement automation and Infrastructure as Code practices to improve cloud operations. • Support high-availability and disaster recovery initiatives across AWS environments. • Participate in on-call rotations for production-critical AWS incidents. • Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on AWS experience. • Proficiency with AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, IAM, Lambda, and CloudWatch. • Strong understanding of AWS security best practices and implementation. • Experience with AWS networking and related infrastructure configurations. • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Amazon CloudWatch and CloudTrail. • Understanding of high availability and disaster recovery practices in AWS. • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform. • Self-motivated, disciplined, and effective when working in a remote environment. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong collaboration and team-oriented mindset. • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with AWS services and industry standards. Pay Range and Compensation Package • Salary range: $72,000–$120,000 per year. • Individual compensation is determined by experience, qualifications, skills, and location. • Eligible for an annual performance-based incentive.
