Software Engineer (Data Platforms & Automation) 📍 London (Hybrid - 2 Days Onsite)💷 Up to £650 per day (Inside IR35)📅 Initial 6-Month Contract | Strong Extension Potential Are you a Software Engineer who enjoys solving complex data challenges and building scalable enterprise solutions? We're working with a major financial services organisation seeking an experienced engineer to help deliver a strategic data archiving, search, and analytics platform. This is a highly visible programme with significant investment, offering the opportunity to work across software engineering, data engineering, automation, and infrastructure. The Opportunity You'll play a key role in designing and developing solutions that ingest, transform, archive, search, and analyse large volumes of structured and unstructured data. Working within a collaborative engineering environment, you'll help build scalable, automated platforms that support critical business and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop scalable ETL and data ingestion pipelinesBuild APIs and search interfaces for enterprise data platformsDevelop automation and self-service capabilities to streamline onboarding processesCreate analytics and reporting solutions that provide meaningful business insightsContribute to the design and optimisation of underlying platform infrastructureWork closely with engineers, architects, product teams, and business stakeholdersProduce high-quality, well-tested, and well-documented codeDrive innovation and continuous improvement across the platform Essential Skills: Strong experience with Python and/or PowerShellCommercial experience with C#, JavaScript, or .NETFront-end development experience, ideally using ReactStrong background building ETL processes and data pipelinesExperience working with structured and unstructured datasetsExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesComfortable working across multiple technologies and disciplines Desirable Experience: Ansible or infrastructure automation toolsMSSQL, Oracle, or similar database technologiesSearch and indexing platformsObject storage or enterprise data archiving solutionsPower BI or data visualisation tools Why Apply?
