In this role you will: Own end-to-end delivery of distributed services (SNS/SQS, AWS Lambda) that process and publish shipment events consumed across Amazon — from design through multi-region rollout (NA, EU, FE) and production operations. Lead complex service and data migrations, consolidating downstream consumers onto shared platform services with minimal disruption to dependent teams. Make integration and data-sharing decisions for partner teams — evaluating new event subscriptions for scalability, security, and correct scope. Raise the operational excellence bar for your services: monitoring, alarming, on-call, and reducing systemic toil. Navigate ambiguity to scope and sequence work, influence technical direction, and unblock dependencies across teams. About The Team The Shipment Data Platform (SDP) team sits at the heart of Amazon's outbound fulfillment flow. We are the interface between Amazon's fulfillment network and the systems that turn a customer's order into a shipment — processing fulfillment requests, coordinating shipment messages, and serving as the trusted platform for shipment data. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
