What You’ll Do We're looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of experience to play a key role in delivering a diverse portfolio of small to medium sustaining capital projects across the mining and minerals processing sector. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a combination of technical engineering, client engagement, mentoring junior engineers, and providing practical solutions for operational sites. You'll have the opportunity to lead mechanical work packages, build long-term client relationships, and help drive successful project outcomes from concept through to execution. Provide Senior mechanical engineering delivery across sustaining capital and brownfields mining projects Develop and review engineering calculations, technical specifications, scopes of work, and design documentation Provide technical leadership for fixed plant and materials handling systems Support studies, investigations, detailed design, and execution phases of projects Mentor and support developing engineers within the Adelaide team Engage directly with clients to understand operational challenges and identify practical engineering solutions Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including process, civil, structural, electrical, and project delivery professionals Support project planning, budgeting, risk management, and successful delivery of assigned work packages Participate in site visits, condition assessments, commissioning activities, and technical reviews as required About You Degree qualifications in Mechanical Engineering 10+ years of experience within mining, minerals processing, heavy industrial, or resources sectors Strong knowledge of fixed plant equipment and mining infrastructure Experience delivering sustaining capital, brownfields, or operational site projects Demonstrated ability to lead engineering packages and manage stakeholder relationships Strong understanding of Australian engineering standards and safe design principles Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to project delivery Chartered Engineer status, or progress toward chartership, will be highly regarded Why WSP?
