For one of our portfolio companies, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer Your Role You will join a lean engineering organization and take ownership of cloud infrastructure, delivery pipelines, database operations, and observability for a revenue-generating production platform. This is a hands-on role with direct exposure to engineering leadership. You will make infrastructure decisions, document them, and carry them through to production. The scope is broad by design: infrastructure, databases, security operations, and the automation that ties it all together. What You Will Work On Operating and evolving a production AWS environment: EC2, load balancing, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC networking, and infrastructure automationAdministering and tuning databases across multiple engines in production: MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and MSSQL, including performance work, replication health, backup and recovery, and cost controlSupporting analytical data workloads, including Snowflake-based pipelines and reporting infrastructureBuilding and maintaining the observability layer: monitoring, alerting, SLOs, synthetic checks, and availability reporting that supports customer-facing commitmentsOwning CI/CD pipelines end to end, from build tooling and static checks to deployment automation and rollback proceduresApplying AI tooling to DevOps work in practice: AI-assisted incident analysis, infrastructure code generation and review, automated runbook execution, and agent-based workflows for routine operationsSupporting a SOC 2 compliance program on the infrastructure side: log retention, access control, asset inventory, and audit evidence collectionPlanning and executing maintenance windows, OS image lifecycle management, and database upgrades with minimal customer impact Our Stack AWS, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Snowflake, GitHub, containerized CI/CD, compliance automation tooling, and a modern AI-assisted engineering workflow used across the team. Requirements 4+ years of hands-on experience running production infrastructure on AWSStrong database administration experience across relational and document engines: PostgreSQL, MSSQL, and MongoDB in production, not just local developmentExperience with Snowflake or comparable cloud data warehouse platformsPractical experience applying AI tools to DevOps work: LLM-assisted troubleshooting, AI code review, workflow automation with agents, or similar. We want someone who already works this way, not someone waiting for permission to startSolid scripting and infrastructure-as-code skills; your changes should be reviewable and repeatableExperience building monitoring and alerting from the ground upWorking knowledge of compliance-driven operations (SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar)Fluent English, spoken and written.
