This is an in-office position located in Shreveport, Louisiana.* JOB SUMMARY: As a Senior Lean Engineer, you will support Operations, leading strategy execution. You will drive lean efficiency and oversee future factory planning to enable increased capacity for extraordinary future growth and product line expansion. The Senior Lean Engineer will be a grounded, roll-up-your-sleeves operations leader who thrives in the details but thinks at the enterprise level. They’ve led teams through change, built structure where it was missing, and brought calm to the chaos—putting real systems in place around safety, accountability, and throughput. This person knows how to engage the workforce, hold a high bar, and get people aligned without losing the culture. They’ll be a daily presence on the floor, a strong communicator, and a thoughtful partner to the Operations Leadership Team—someone who can scale teams, capacity, and infrastructure while keeping quality and performance on track. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Operational Leadership & Execution: Own strategy execution for Operations—manufacturing, supply chain, production engineering, safety, and quality—with a focus on value stream mapping, balancing the line, visual factory management, throughput, cycle/flow time reduction, standard work instructions, kitting, dunnage reduction, etc.Build the Foundation: Implement the core systems MXS needs to scale production: lean tools, visual management, daily metrics, safety compliance, and floor discipline. Show—not just tell—what good looks like.Lean Deployment & Continuous Improvement: Be the internal champion for lean. Apply lean thinking in a practical, grounded way. Certification (green/black belt) is helpful, but experience embedding lean tools on the floor matters more.Facilitate lean workshops that allow the teams to be part of the solution development; ask probing, meaningful questions that guide teams toward continuous improvement; follow up and follow through on actions and concerns to build trust and drive accountability starting with yourself.People Leadership & Culture: Be a visible, floor-present leader. Motivate people, model accountability, and develop a plant culture where performance and respect go hand in hand. Mentor team members and build up the next generation—several retirements are on the horizonGrowth Planning & Scalability: Prepare the operation to scale—doubling output and expanding the workforce. Support long-term expansion planning.Operations Partnership: Work closely with the Operations Leadership Team on day-to-day execution and long-term planning. Bring sound judgment, presence, and financial awareness—this role could be a stepping stone. QUALIFICATIONS: Work Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years in manufacturing operations“Heavy industrial” type manufacturing, complex large format assembly environments, heavy equipment/industrial contracting, or other related experienceTrack record of embedding lean tools, visual management, and safety systemsHas led plant teams of 100–300+ through lean tactics implementation and scaled operationsStrong manufacturing acumen—comfortable talking capacity, utilization, and key performance indicatorsHigh EQ, high standards—known for coaching teams and driving continuous improvementGreen/black belt certification helpful, but real-world experience more importantBackground in private equity or high-growth environments is a plusWilling and able to relocate to Shreveport and be a consistent presence on-site Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field; OR equivalent combination of education and manufacturing/CI experience.
