About The Role The Senior Software Developer position at GDIT offers an exciting opportunity for experienced frontend engineers to lead the design, development, and implementation of accessible, high-performance web applications tailored for government customers. The successful candidate will serve as a technical authority and thought leader, influencing frontend engineering standards and mentoring engineering teams. Responsibilities include developing modern frontend solutions using frameworks such as React or Angular, establishing component libraries and design systems, and ensuring compliance with accessibility standards such as Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA. The role also involves collaborating closely with product managers and designers to create user-centric interfaces, optimizing application performance, and modernizing frontend stacks to enhance developer experience and application quality. The position requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and product mindset to deliver innovative, accessible, and scalable solutions that meet the needs of government clients.
