Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Omilia is a leader in Conversational AI. Our cloud platform powers natural, human like customer conversations over voice and chat for some of the largest enterprises in banking, insurance, telecommunications and hospitality, handling hundreds of millions of interactions a year. We build our own deep tech across the stack, from speech recognition and natural language understanding to dialog management, and we integrate natively with the major CCaaS platforms. We are a company of roughly 500 people, distributed across Europe and North America, in the middle of an ambitious platform modernization program: Kubernetes everywhere, autoscaling for every service, a next generation observability stack, and AI woven through our own engineering lifecycle. Role Purpose Omilia Cyber is looking for a Senior Cloud Security Engineer with strong DevOps expertise to safeguard our AWS cloud ecosystem. Core to the role: adopting GitOps methodologies, developing Terraform, and executing secure updates through CI/CD pipelines. The role leads strategic security projects, automates protection mechanisms, and partners across teams to strengthen cloud security posture. Accountabilities: Design, implement, and manage security policies using a Policy as Code approach; write Terraform and deploy changes via peer-reviewed CI/CD pipelinesIntegrate and maintain automated security scanning tools within CI/CD pipelines to catch misconfigurations before they are mergedMonitor, manage, and respond to findings using CSPM/CNAPP tools; drive remediation of cloud risks, threats, misconfigurations, and compliance violations with engineering teamsIdentify and implement cloud controls to strengthen security posture, and validate controls are enforced across the entire cloud ecosystemDesign and implement automation that detects non-compliance and self-heals in real timeProactively review and respond to security threats and anomalies from detection and alerting tools; support incident response, penetration test findings, and audit remediationPartner with Engineering, Platform, Compliance, and Product teams to embed security best practices into the SDLC and CI/CD pipelinesEnsure products meet or exceed industry regulations and internal standards; maintain security processes, policies, and documentationSupport audits and assessments, providing evidence of compliance and driving remediation effortsReview network security controls and access entitlements, eliminating overpermissive access and maintaining least privilege Requirements Technical / Professional Skills 5+ years of experience in cloud security, infrastructure security, or a hands-on DevSecOps technical roleDeep practical experience writing and managing Terraform, with a strong background in deploying and managing infrastructure via CI/CD pipelinesDeep expertise in AWS security services (e.g., Security Hub, GuardDuty, IAM, CloudTrail, Config)Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, Go) for automation tasksIn-depth understanding of cloud security principles, Kubernetes, network security, access control, and incident response procedures Soft / Behavioural Skills Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skillsCapacity to lead initiatives and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and external partners Formal Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Security (nice to have)Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, GIAC) are a plusDevOps certifications (e.g., Terraform Certified Associate) are a plusCloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Security) are a plusUnderstanding of AI and contact center industries is a plus Benefits Fixed compensation;Long-term employment with the working days vacation;Development in professional growth (courses, training, etc);Being part of successful cutting-edge technology products that are making a global impact in the service industry;Proficient and fun-to-work-with colleagues;Apple gear Omilia is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and is dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
