Description

We are seeking a senior, hands-on infrastructure and middleware specialist to manage business-critical production systems. This is an operational L2/L3 role focused on high availability, performance tuning, and strict enterprise processes (not a Java development position). You will work within an international environment supporting large-scale environments. Team Structure: Middleware Team (6 specialists in Poland collaborating with Italian and German colleagues, reporting to Italian management) Start Date: October 1, 2026 Work Model: Flexible EMEA hours (8 hours/day between 06:00–18:00 CEST); minimal out-of-hours/on-call duties (max 5%/year) Key Responsibilities Administer, configure, deploy, patch, upgrade, and troubleshoot Red Hat JBoss EAP / JBoss application servers.Perform JVM and JBoss performance tuning (memory, threads, connection pools, garbage collection).Manage JBoss clustering, high availability setups, and production environments.Handle L2/L3 production support, incident/problem management, and root-cause analysis (RCA).Automate operational tasks using Shell scripting and Ansible.Maintain web servers, reverse proxies, load balancers, and TLS/SSL configurations. Requirements Mandatory Skills & Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience with Red Hat JBoss EAP / JBoss application servers.Strong background in Linux/Unix operating systems administration.Demonstrated experience in JBoss clustering, high availability, and large-scale enterprise production environments.In-depth knowledge of JVM/JBoss performance tuning (memory, threads, GC, connection pools).Hands-on experience with L2/L3 support, incident/problem management, and RCA.Understanding of web servers, reverse proxies, load balancers, and TLS/SSL.Proficiency with Shell scripting and/or Ansible for automation.Strong independent troubleshooting skills and fluent English communication.Nice to Have: Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, or containerized environments.Exposure to enterprise banking or highly regulated environments.Familiarity with other middleware platforms (IBM MQ, Apache Tomcat, WebSphere).Experience with enterprise monitoring and observability tools.
