What You’ll Be Responsible For
Supporting the remediation of application and infrastructure vulnerabilities identified through security scans, penetration tests, and risk assessments.Upgrading and maintaining application frameworks, third-party libraries, and platform components to secure and supported versions, reducing technical debt.Collaborating with cyber infrastructure teams to address security findings and ensure timely remediation plans are implemented.Contributing to secure software development practices by applying security by design principles and best practices.Enhancing platform resilience and operational reliability by designing and implementing system improvements, automation solutions, and monitoring tools.Participating in root cause analysis and incident remediation efforts to improve platform stability and prevent recurrence of issues.Developing and refining monitoring, alerting, and observability capabilities to maintain high system health and transparency.Identifying single points of failure, performance bottlenecks, and operational risks, then implementing solutions to mitigate these issues.Supporting disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives, including platform hardening efforts.Designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications, APIs, and platform services with modernization in mind.Leading efforts to modernize legacy systems using contemporary frameworks, architectures, and engineering practices.Building, maintaining, and improving CI/CD pipelines to enhance software quality and deployment efficiency.Automating testing, deployment, compliance, and operational processes to streamline development workflows.Supporting containerized and cloud-ready application architectures, ensuring scalable and secure deployment solutions.Collaborating with cross-functional teams to evaluate emerging technologies and integrate innovative solutions into existing platforms.
What You’ll Bring
Required Skills:
Proficiency in Java, preferably Java 17+, with strong experience in software engineeringHands-on experience with Python and/or JavaScriptExpertise in Spring Boot and REST API developmentSolid understanding of object-oriented design principlesKnowledge of secure coding practices, vulnerability management, and application security risksFamiliarity with high availability, resiliency, and fault-tolerant system architecturesLinux/Unix system knowledge and shell scripting skillsExperience with networking protocols such as HTTPS, SSH/SFTP, SMTP, TLS, TCP/IPWorking knowledge of relational databases including PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or OracleExperience with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, automation testing, and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift
