Infrastructure Engineer

Department: IT Operations Location: Kazakhstan Description We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to design, maintain, and continuously improve our computing infrastructure. You'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our infrastructure while driving automation and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, maintain, and continuously improve the company's computing infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, performance, and scalabilityMonitor computing resources and related services, troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure incidents, perform root cause analysis, and configure monitoring, alerting, and notifications.Ensure the security and compliance of the computing infrastructure by implementing security best practices, applying updates and patches, and supporting security initiativesDevelop, maintain, and improve technical documentation, infrastructure standards, operational procedures, and internal processesManage IT infrastructure assets throughout their lifecycle, including procurement, inventory, utilization optimization, and participation in budget planningPerform system administration activities, including resource management, backup and recovery on demand, and infrastructure maintenanceDrive automation of routine operational tasks and contribute to infrastructure development projects to improve efficiency, reliability, and operational excellenceCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams, mentor colleagues, support knowledge sharing, continuously develop technical expertise, and contribute to engineering standards and best practices Skills, Knowledge and Expertise 3+ years in IT (server administration, infrastructure engineering)Strong knowledge of Linux architecture and administration, including installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and server diagnosticsHands-on experience with server hardware, virtual machines, RAID arrays, storage systems, and Linux command-line administrationSolid understanding of storage technologies, including performance optimization, replication, caching, segmentation, load balancing, capacity planning, backup, encryption, and access controlExperience with DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD, including infrastructure automation, configuration management, and pipeline designHands-on experience with observability tools, including monitoring, logging, tracing, and infrastructure performance analysisKnowledge of cloud infrastructure architecture and major cloud providers, with practical experience managing Docker containers and Kubernetes clustersUnderstanding of cloud and Kubernetes security principles, as well as operating system firewalls and security policiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to automate routine operational tasks, optimize infrastructure, and resolve complex technical issuesExcellent verbal communication skills in English Nice-to-haveIT-engineering courses, certifications: - LFS200: Fundamentals of Open Source IT and Cloud Computing or analogues - Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) - AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – AssociateSystem monitoring experience Why join us Help us challenge injustice by creating fair choices for millions of people across 48 countries.Develop your professional skills with access to mentoring, career consulting, and learning programs.Collaborate with teams around the world and gain international experience through our Global Talent Exchange Program.Engage in company-wide challenges, awards, sports activities, employee-led social impact and volunteering projects.Work alongside people who take initiative, speak openly, and challenge themselves to grow.Improve your language skills through co-financed courses and internal speaking clubs.Final benefits may vary depending on the location.
