Softup Posted on: Aug 9, 2023 Location: Kathmandu Career Type: Full Time Category: Remote Career Description Full-Stack Web Developer SoftUp (Nepal Office) is looking for a Full-Stack Web Developer to manage, maintain and guide the development of our Products and corresponding sites. This role is a mix of collaboration, strategy, full stack development, and UX with design. The Full-Stack Web Developer will be an integral part of the SoftUp Engineering team and will collaborate with other cross functional teams consisting of IT, marketing, global communications, and security. The core responsibilities of this role are as follows, but not limited to: Regular exposure to business stakeholders and executive management, as well as the authority and scope to apply expertise to many interesting technical problems. Provide thought leadership to internal team(s) around new processes, workflows, and emerging technologies. Collaborate with team members from start to finish on website development projects. Coordinate with various departments across the organization as needed. Conceptualize, design, and develop internal automated software and web applications for simplifying workflows and enabling employee engagement with minimal human intervention. Perform technical analyses for the development of new features. Design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, test, ensure browser compatibility, and deploy source code updates/changes. Develop and maintain a custom in-house WordPress theme for use on corporate websites and blogs. Maintain websites and create updates regularly to address company, customer, and security concerns. Troubleshoot code quickly and efficiently. Actively participate in brainstorming sessions with team members. Willingness to seek ways to improve existing websites and processes for the betterment of our company and customers. Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor's degree in information technology and/or proven work experience 3-5 years of high-level web development and implementation experience Ability to work on both front-end and back-end Self-manage multiple projects at one time, with tight turnarounds and deadlines. Extensive experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node JS, PHP and MySQL Experience with Python and its frameworks is a plus. Extensive experience with WordPress and WordPress plugin/theme development Experience with design/CSS frameworks (Bootstrap, Material, etc...) Comfortable with modern JavaScript front-end frameworks (React, Vue, etc.) Experience with database schema design and API development using MySQL and PHP Experience working in domain and hosting service providers such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure, OVHCloud, Digital Ocean, etc. Experience working with and collaborating using development tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps Strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards Experience working with front ends written with react.js using GraphQL Deep expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and API’s Knowledge and hands-on design experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc.) is needed to be successful in this position Strong grasp of security principles and how they apply to E-Commerce applications What To Do Next If you’re passionate about delivering innovative, delightful, and enriching products and experiences, we’d love to hear from you.
