Shopify Web Developer/Specialist | Philippines About the role We are looking for a talented Shopify Web Developer/Specialist to join our growing Digital Performance Team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building, optimising, maintaining and improving Shopify websites for our clients, with a strong focus on performance, user experience, conversion, technical SEO and analytics. As a core member of our team, you’ll bring strong Shopify and front-end development expertise to ensure our clients’ stores are fast, scalable, technically sound and built to drive results. You’ll work closely with our creative, paid media, content, account management and performance teams, as well as communicate directly with clients to scope projects, understand requirements and provide clear project updates. Shopify Development & Maintenance Build and develop high-performing Shopify stores and landing pagesImplement custom Shopify designs and functionality using Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScriptCustomise and optimise Shopify themes to meet client, UX and performance requirementsConfigure and integrate Shopify apps, APIs and third-party platformsMaintain existing Shopify stores, including theme updates, bug fixes and ongoing enhancementsTroubleshoot and debug Shopify issues across devices and browsers 2. Performance, UX & CRO Improve Core Web Vitals, page speed, mobile responsiveness and overall site performanceIdentify and reduce technical debt while improving scalability and maintainabilityImplement CRO initiatives across customer journeys, product pages, collections, navigation and other key touchpointsTest and implement improvements designed to increase engagement and conversion 3. SEO, Analytics & Tracking Working with our SEO specialist implement improvements across Shopify storesImplement and test GA4, Google Tag Manager and other analytics and tracking requirementsEnsure tracking is accurate across key ecommerce actions and conversion points 4. Integrations & Automation Set up and manage Shopify integrations with third-party platformsConfigure tools such as Zapier for leads, forms, notifications and automated workflowsTest integrations and troubleshoot issues between Shopify and connected platforms 5. Quality Assurance QA new features, theme changes, integrations and site releases before deploymentTest websites across browsers, devices and screen sizesIdentify and resolve technical, usability and performance issues 6. Collaboration & Client Management Collaborate with creative, paid media, account management, content and performance teams to ensure Shopify experiences support broader digital marketing objectivesTranslate client requirements and project briefs into clear technical solutionsProvide proactive and professional updates on Shopify projects, timelines and deliverables What We’re Looking For: Have 4-5+ years of experience across Shopify development, web development and/or digital environmentsStrong hands-on experience developing and maintaining Shopify storesConfident working with Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and customising Shopify themes beyond basic theme configurationStrong understanding of Shopify's ecosystem, including apps, integrations, product/catalogue structures, collections and storefront functionalityStrong understanding of website performance, technical SEO, UX and conversion optimisation and how e-commerce websites support paid media, social and digital advertising performanceExperience managing multiple projects and taking work from briefing and scoping through to implementation and QAAbility to understand Figma files and what good web design and user experiences look likePrevious experience in agencies building multiple sites, and working directly with clients is a bonusComfortable presenting technical concepts to non-technical clients and stakeholdersFamiliarity with GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console and Shopify analytics is highly regardedFamiliar with Google Suite, Slack, and Asana (a bonus)Have a flexible approach to work, with an agile mindsetOrganised, detail-oriented, proactive and exceptional at taking a project from conception to implementationExcellent in communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills (must have very strong written and verbal English)Ready to learn and be challenged and passionate about driving results The role is full-time, 5 days working remotely in the Philippines, following Sydney, Australia timezone/work hours.
