IT Project Engineer

Accord Business Solutions, we're looking for an IT Project Engineer to join our growing Infrastructure Projects team. This is an opportunity to work on a wide variety of customer projects spanning Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, security, infrastructure refreshes, migrations and cloud transformation initiatives. The role combines hands-on technical delivery with project ownership, customer engagement and commercial awareness. About the Role As an IT Project Engineer, you will take ownership of assigned projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and to a high technical standard. You'll work closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams to coordinate project activities, manage risks and provide excellent customer service throughout the project lifecycle. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in delivering quality outcomes and is comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously. What You'll Be Doing Delivering infrastructure, cloud and Microsoft 365 projects from planning through to implementation and handover. Managing project tasks, documentation, milestones and time recording within ConnectWise Manage. Implementing solutions across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Azure, networking, wireless, firewalls and server infrastructure. Leading customer onboarding, migrations, infrastructure refreshes and technology transformation projects. Working directly with customers to provide updates, manage expectations and ensure successful project outcomes. Producing high-quality technical documentation and operational handovers. Supporting project scoping, technical discovery and effort estimation activities. Identifying risks, dependencies and opportunities for continual improvement. Typical Projects You'll be involved in a diverse range of projects including: Microsoft 365 deployments and migrations Azure and cloud infrastructure projects Intune and endpoint management rollouts Active Directory and identity projects Server and infrastructure refreshes Network, wireless and firewall implementations Business acquisitions, domain migrations and customer onboarding projects Documentation, monitoring and operational improvement initiatives What We're Looking For Essential Proven experience delivering IT infrastructure projects in a customer-facing environment. Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory and endpoint management technologies. Good understanding of networking fundamentals including VPNs, DNS, DHCP, switching and firewalls. Experience using ConnectWise Manage or a similar PSA/project management platform. Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritise effectively. Full UK driving licence. Desirable Microsoft certifications covering Microsoft 365, Azure or Endpoint Management. Fortinet or other networking/security certifications. PRINCE2, Agile or other project management qualifications. Experience with backup platforms, monitoring solutions, RMM tools and migration technologies. What Success Looks Like You'll be someone who: Takes ownership and sees projects through to completion.
