Product Developer – 12 Month Contract Sydney | Full-Time | 12-Month Fixed Term We’ve partnered with an exciting brand to recruit an experienced Product Developer for a 12-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a product specialist who enjoys taking ownership from initial concept through to production, working across a diverse portfolio of brands and collaborating closely with both internal teams and external partners. You’ll be part of a collaborative Design & Production team, with plenty of opportunity to get involved in product development, trend research, supplier management and bringing new ideas to life. You’ll work closely with brand partners to understand their requirements, translate briefs into product concepts, and coordinate development with factories to ensure products are delivered accurately, on time, and to the required quality standards. This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident dealing with people, comfortable presenting ideas, and able to manage multiple products and timelines independently. Key Responsibilities Manage product development from initial brief through to final productionMeet face-to-face with brand partners, confidently presenting ideas and discussing product requirementsCreate 2D CADs and product mock-ups using Adobe IllustratorDevelop and maintain accurate spec sheets and product documentationTranslate brand briefs into commercially viable product solutionsLiaise with factories throughout sampling, pre-production and productionManage sample reviews, amendments and approvalsWork closely with Production and Compliance to resolve product or quality issuesCoordinate product photography and ensure all product is ready for launchResearch market and trend direction to identify new product opportunitiesWork across both retail and wholesale product requirementsManage multiple brand portfolios and critical paths simultaneously What We’re Looking For 4–5+ years’ experience in Product Development, Apparel, Accessories or a similar roleStrong end-to-end product development experienceConfident using Adobe Illustrator to create 2D CADs and product mock-upsStrong Excel skills and experience creating or managing specification sheetsExperience working directly with factories and suppliersConfident communicator who enjoys working with clients and brand partnersStrong understanding of product development, sampling and production processesHighly organised with excellent attention to detailCommercially minded with the ability to balance creativity, quality and costTrend forecasting and market awareness highly regardedOptical experience is not required - apparel or accessories experience is welcomed
