🚨 Senior Cloud Engineer | SC Cleared / SC Eligible | Outside IR35 | Remote Working I’m hiring a Senior Cloud Engineer for a major new data platform, working within a highly autonomous engineering team and building the cloud foundations from the ground up. 📍 Remote 💼 6-month contract 🔐 SC Cleared ideally, or SC eligible 📄 Outside IR35 💰 £500-£625 a day depending on level of experience and Security Clearance level 🚀 ASAP start The role 👇 You’ll own the cloud infrastructure underpinning a new data platform, with a strong focus on Google Cloud, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD and observability. There’s a genuinely interesting architectural challenge here, with an edge cluster and central cluster, replication between the two, and a strong emphasis on networking, security and deployment into restricted environments. Key experience: ▪️ Strong production Cloud / DevOps / SRE experience ▪️ Google Cloud + GKE ▪️ Kubernetes & Docker ▪️ Terraform, Ansible or equivalent IaC ▪️ CI/CD – GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins etc. ▪️ Strong Linux administration ▪️ Observability – Prometheus, Grafana, Loki ▪️ Secure and hardened infrastructure ▪️ Experience with restricted, disconnected or regulated environments Highly desirable: ▪️ Air-gapped / on-prem / restricted-network deployments ▪️ Multi-cluster or geographically distributed architectures ▪️ Python, Bash or Go ▪️ Vault, Keycloak, PKI & identity ▪️ Cilium / eBPF / Kubernetes networking ▪️ Kafka / Strimzi ▪️ Defence, government or other regulated environments ▪️ Experience supporting data or ML platforms at scale If you’re a Senior Cloud / DevOps / SRE Engineer with strong GCP/GKE experience and either active SC clearance or the ability to obtain SC, I’d be keen to speak!
