Full Stack Developer

Design, develop and enhance secure, scalable and high-performing digital applications and integrations that support SKP's regulatory, operational and consumer service objectives, while driving technology innovation, cloud-native solutions and the sustainable in-housing of digital capabilities. Principal Accountabilities Application Development & Architecture 1. Develop, maintain and enhance responsive web applications and digital platforms using modern frontend and back-end technologies to support SKP's operational, supervisory and consumer-facing functions. 2. Design, develop and maintain secure, scalable and high-performing application components, APIs and services to support business requirements and system reliability. 3. Design, optimise and manage databases schemas, data models and caching mechanisms to ensure data integrity, application performance and efficient data processing. 4. Analyse, refactor and transition vendor-developed systems into SKP's internal environment to improve maintainability, scalability and operational sustainability. 5. Develop and maintain integrations with internal and external systems through APIs, event-driven architectures and other interoperability mechanisms to support secure and reliable data exchange. 6. Monitor application performance, troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis and implement improvements to ensure system stability, availability and operational resilience. 7. Develop and maintain technical documentation, system specifications, API documentation and operational runbooks to support knowledge retention and business continuity. 8. Ensure applications comply with cybersecurity requirements, data governance standards, organisational policies and applicable regulatory requirements. AI & Emerging Technologies 9. Develop, integrate, test and optimise AI-enabled capabilities, including large language model (LLM) services, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions and other AI technologies to enhance digital services and operational effectiveness. 10. Implement and maintain modern API and communication frameworks, including RESTful services, GraphQL, WebSockets and event-driven messaging platforms. Cloud, Security & DevOps 11. Deploy, monitor and maintain cloud-native applications and services on approved cloud platforms, leveraging containerised and serverless technologies where appropriate. 12. Implement secure software development practices, application security controls and vulnerability remediation measures throughout the software development lifecycle. 15 June 2026|2 TERHAD 13. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation and DevOps practices to support efficient, reliable and secure system releases. Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement 14. Participate in system testing, release management and deployment activities to ensure solution quality, operational readiness and successful implementation of system enhancements. 15. Collaborate with business users, product owners, vendors and technology teams to deliver high-quality digital solutions that meet business and user requirements. 16. Keep abreast of emerging technologies, development frameworks and AI capabilities, and recommend practical improvements to enhance SKP's digital platforms and services. 17. Contribute to team effectiveness through active participation in code reviews, knowledge sharing, technical discussions and continuous learning initiatives. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Minimum of 5 years of experience in full stack application development, with a strong track record in developing, enhancing and supporting enterprise-grade digital applications. • Strong proficiency in Angular, Node.js, TypeScript and JavaScript, with the ability to develop secure, scalable and maintainable web applications. • Strong experience in API development, system integration, database design and optimisation, particularly using PostgreSQL. • Hands-on experience with cloud-native application development and deployment, preferably on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including containerisation and CI/CD practices. • Good understanding of software engineering principles, application architecture, secure coding practices and web application security. • Familiarity with AI-enabled application development and modern technologies such as microservices, event-driven architectures, serverless computing or real-time messaging would be an added advantage. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across business, technology and vendor teams. • Technical Skills: Angular, Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+ and related), RESTful APIs, PostgreSQL, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Docker Git-based CI/CD pipelines, application security, and system integration. Qualification(s) • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
