Currently on the market for an Infrastructure Business Analyst for an initial 6-month contract for one of our large enterprise clients, located in Melbourne.
About the Role
The Infrastructure Business Analyst will work closely with project managers, architects, and engineering teams to define requirements, analyse current‑state environments, and support delivery of cloud, network, and identity uplift programs.
This role suits a Business Analyst with strong technical literacy and excellent documentation skills across enterprise infrastructure projects, across retail companies.
Key responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering — Facilitate workshops with engineering teams to capture functional and non‑functional requirements.Cloud & Network Analysis — Analyse systems, dependencies, and integration points across Azure, networks, firewalls, and identity platforms.IDAM Requirements & Mapping — Document identity workflows, access models, and integration requirements for MS Entra or similar platforms.Process Mapping — Document current‑state and future‑state processes for infrastructure operations.Technical Documentation — Produce BRDs, FRDs, solution outlines, data flow diagrams, and operational readiness artefacts.Testing Support — Assist with SIT/UAT planning, test case creation, and validation of infrastructure changes.Change Impact Assessment — Identify impacts to users, systems, and operations for upcoming infrastructure changes.Stakeholder Engagement — Work with engineers, architects, PMs, and business units to ensure clarity and alignment.
About You:
Business Analyst in infrastructure, cloud, networks, or cyber security.Strong understanding of Azure, Microsoft 365, networks, identity/security, and enterprise systems.Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business‑ready documentation.Experience with ITIL, service management, and operational processes.Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
