Software Engineers - Sydney or Remote within Australia (Eastern Seaboard) I'm working with an ambitious Space technology company building software that solves genuinely difficult problems across the aerospace industry. This is an opportunity to join a small, highly technical team where software is central to the product. You'll work closely with engineers, customers and technical leaders to build products that sit much closer to the real world than your typical SaaS application. What you'll be doing Designing and building production software from the ground upDeveloping backend services and APIs in PythonBuilding intuitive interfaces using React and TypeScript (Back End Python experience much more valuable; React is a plus)Working with AWS and modern cloud infrastructureSolving complex technical and engineering problemsWorking closely with customers to understand how the product needs to evolveMaking architectural decisions and influencing the direction of the platformTaking ownership from idea through to deployment and production What we're looking for We're interested in engineers who are genuinely curious about difficult problems and want to work somewhere they can have a visible impact. Solid software engineering fundamentalsProfessional experience with PythonExperience building production applications and APIsExposure to React and TypeScriptExperience working with AWS or another major cloud platformA strong understanding of software design and architectureThe ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy You don't need to come from an aerospace background, but major bonus points if you've studied or worked in technically complex environments such as robotics, autonomous systems, mechatronics, defence, simulation, embedded systems, mechanical engineering, physics or similar.
