About the Opportunity The Software Engineer I will primarily focus on frontend development for the organization’s public engagement platform. This role is responsible for building responsive interfaces and reusable components, translating product and design requirements into functional software, and improving usability, accessibility, and performance. The position contributes to delivering reliable, intuitive features while collaborating closely with product, design, and engineering teams and leveraging AI-assisted development tools. Responsibilities • Develop and improve frontend components using React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS • Contribute to backend development using C#/.NET, ASP.NET MVC, MSSQL, and Azure as needed • Translate product and design requirements into functional, maintainable software • Enhance platform usability, accessibility, performance, and reliability • Collaborate with product managers, designers, technical leads, and engineers • Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate development, debugging, testing, and documentation • Partner with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business and user needs • Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, consistency, and maintainability Requirements • Experience with React, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, .NET, C#, jQuery, Azure, and DevOps • Knowledge of software development best practices, including SOLID principles and design patterns • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills • Ability to design, develop, test, and maintain features or services of low to moderate complexity • Familiarity with system architecture concepts and technical trade-offs • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to work independently • Effective written and verbal communication skills • Collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT/OpenAI coding tools, or similar Pay Range and Compensation Package • Salary range of $95,000 to $115,000 per year • Eligibility for an annual bonus plan • Potential participation in an equity incentive program, awarded at the CEO’s discretion Benefits & Perks • Unlimited paid time off Equal Opportunity Statement: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
