We provide consultancy services to our customers on the planning, designing, and optimization of energy systems worldwide. In this position as a Power System Engineer (Cable Specialist), you will join our international team of experts and work on challenging and innovative projects. Your key responsibilities will include modeling, analyzing, and designing HV cables, as well as developing future strategies for our clients. The Cable Specialist will be engaged in feasibility studies and master planning, assessing technical and economic factors to optimize cable routes and designs. This role supports the development of reliable and efficient power transmission solutions tailored to each project’s unique requirements. Furthermore, on a day-to-day basis you will: Design and develop underground HV cable systems, including selection, sizing, routing, and thermal analysis. Perform electrical calculations (parameters, EMF analysis) and verify technical documentation. Deliver complete cable system desgns with accessories, grounding, bonding, and fiber optic components using advanced tools and methodologies. Conduct feasibility studies, master planning, and prepare technical reports. Collaborate with clients through meetings, strategic planning, and business trips. Provide ongoing consultancy and software support to ensure effective system operation. Your skills. Our team. Together we design the future. And you never get set in your ways but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.   On top of that, you have: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) with 5+ years of relevant experience. Proficient in or familiar with tools like CymCap, Cableizer, COMSOL, AutoCAD, MATLAB, and MS Office. Solid knowledge of cable materials, selection, sizing, jointing, and installation practices. Understanding of international design standards, and experience with thermal, mechanical, and electrical calculations and ability to interpret engineering drawings. Nationality of a NATO member state. Dual nationality is permitted only if both nationalities are from NATO member states. Candidates holding nationality of a non-NATO country, whether solely or in addition to a NATO nationality, are not eligible for consideration. Awareness of power transmission and HVDC/offshore cable markets is a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and learning abilities. Team-oriented with excellent communication skills and readiness for international travel.
