Your Tasks
As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a key role in the further development of Enstall’s Azure platform.
In this role, you will report to the IT Manager.
Our current Azure environment is up and running, but as part of our ambitious IT roadmap, we are set to design, set up and implement a completely new Azure environment — a greenfield project in which we will build from the ground up in accordance with modern standards for architecture, security, governance, automation and manageability.
Analysing the current Azure environment, technical requirements, risks and future needs — and providing an equal, critical input to this process.
Helping to shape the new global Azure architecture and Azure Landing Zone, with your own design proposals and well-reasoned deviations where necessary.
Translate architectural principles into concrete technical designs and implementation plans.
Building, configuring and implementing the new Azure environment.
Setting up management groups, subscriptions, resource organisation, naming conventions and tagging standards — and enforcing these standards across the entire domain.
Designing and implementing Azure networking, connectivity, Virtual Machines, storage and platform services.
Setting up and monitoring Azure governance, including Azure Policy, role-based access control and compliance guidelines.
Implementing monitoring, logging, security, backup, disaster recovery and cost management.
Automating infrastructure and deployments using PowerShell, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
Developing reusable templates, scripts, standards and deployment methods for the whole team.
Technically onboarding workloads, applications, business units and international locations.
Preparing and executing complex migrations from the existing Azure environment and other infrastructures.
Testing and validating solutions for performance, availability, security and manageability.
Drawing up and maintaining technical designs, configuration documentation, runbooks and management procedures.
Handover of new solutions to the operations team and ensuring knowledge transfer — including mentoring mid-level and junior colleagues.
Researching, testing and implementing new Azure features and technical improvements.
Executing and overseeing global changes and international IT projects.
Shared responsibility for Entra ID, including identity governance, access management and identity lifecycle management.
