We operate from Hong Kong and London, and run out own trading infrastructure end-to-end, colocation, market data, FIX connectivity and the security and identity stack behind them.
The Role
Much of our infrastructure is hand-build today.
Working alongside our network security and Dev engineers, you will help build the Ansible layer that changes that - inventory, roles, variable hierarchy, CI and the operational discipline needed to run automation safely again trading systems.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain Ansible roles and playbook covering out Linuz estate, and contribute to the design of the inventory model, variable hierarchy and role structure.Implement safe production execution practices for automation - check ode, staged rollout, change windows and controlled blast radius - along with secrets handling and drift detection.Automate collection of compliance evidence such as patch state, baseline conformance and access configuration for security assessments and audits.Support and operate a containerized application platform within a distributed environment.Enhance software delivery processes by building and maintaining automated pipelines and deployment workflows across multiple environments.Implement modern release strategies to ensure stable an controlled application rollouts and recovery.Drive automation and continuous delivery practices to improve deployment efficiency and consistency.Maintain system observability including monitoring, logging and alerting capabilities to ensure platform health and early issue detection.Ensure platform security, including system hardening, patching and vulnerability management.Work closely with development and engineering teams to support application onboarding and deployment.Respond to and mange production incidents, including investigation, root causes analysis and follow-up improvements.Contribute to ongoing improvements in platform reliability, scalability and operational standards.
Requirements
Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.1-3 years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps.Strong hands - on experience with enterprise Linus environments, particularly Oracle Linux and Ubuntu platforms (mandatory).Practical hands-on experience with Ansible — playbooks and roles you have written and run against real systems (mandatory).Solid experience with containerization in production environments; our platform is LXC and Podman.Experience in CI/CD practices and automation tools within modern software delivery environments.Good understanding of networking concepts and distributed systems architecture.Experience with monitoring, logging, and system observability practices.Proficiency in scripting or programming for automation tasks.Exposure to system infrastructure components such as databases, operating systems, virtualization, and container technologies.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues, and sound judgement about risk — our systems carry live trading traffic, so knowing what breaks if a change runs wrong across the fleet matters more than speed.Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements in enterprise environments.Relevant certifications and knowledge of industry standards are advantageous.Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.Proficiency in English and Chinese (spoken and written).Willingness to support off-hours incident handling and weekend release
