Lead Data Engineer - Databricks / Microsoft Fabric Canberra preferred Must hold AGSVA security clearance | QLD, NSW & VIC considered | 12-month contract + multiple long term extensions The Network are seeking multiple experienced Lead Data Engineers to deliver modern enterprise data platforms supporting analytics, reporting, AI and machine learning outcomes within a major Federal Government environment. This is a hands-on senior role with opportunities across Azure Databricks and Microsoft Fabric. Key Skills Strong Azure Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric experiencePySpark, Spark SQL, Python and SQLDelta Lake, Lakehouse and Medallion architecturesDatabricks Workflows and Unity CatalogAzure Data Factory and ADLS Gen2Enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines and data integrationData modelling, quality, lineage and governanceGit, Azure DevOps, CI/CD and automated testingExperience supporting analytics, AI or ML workloadsTechnical leadership and stakeholder engagement What We're Looking For You will have recent hands-on experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale data engineering solutions, with the ability to independently lead technical outcomes while remaining actively involved in engineering and development. Location: ACT, NSW, VIC or QLD - Canberra based 3 days per week strong preference.
