Take on a senior data engineering role where you'll combine hands-on development with technical leadership across complex enterprise data initiatives.
You'll work across data integration, ETL, analytical datasets and enterprise data platforms, providing technical direction while still getting into the detail of SQL, data modelling, code reviews and implementation.
The Role
As a Data Engineer, you'll work closely with architects, analysts, developers, testers and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and maintainable data solutions while helping improve engineering practices across the broader team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Designing and developing enterprise data integration solutions, ETL processes and analytical datasetsLeading technical delivery of new data assets from design through to deployment and operational supportProviding technical leadership through design reviews, code reviews and implementation guidanceDeveloping and optimising SQL, data models and supporting technical solutionsImproving data delivery frameworks, development standards and engineering practices
About You
We're particularly interested in:
Strong experience across enterprise data warehouse platforms such as MS SQL, Teradata, Snowflake, Redshift or DatabricksAdvanced SQL, including optimisation, troubleshooting and reverse engineering existing codeProgramming experience with Python, SAS, R and/or JavaStrong understanding of data models, technical specifications and solution designsExperience working within DevOps environments, including version control and structured release managementExperience with AWS, S3, Glue or equivalent cloud technologies would be highly regarded
