Description
Chery Automobile is a leading Chinese auto company and an international brand whose business covers more than 80 countries and regions.
For our R&D Center in Raunheim, near Frankfurt, we are looking for a Smart Cockpit Requirements Engineering Specialist.
We welcome you to join a growing team of extraordinarily talented and enthusiastic people, developing tailor-made cars for the European market
Position Purpose
Establish an end-to-end Smart Cockpit requirements engineering and digital collaboration capability connecting EU market needs, customer feedback, testing findings and product requirements with CN HQ R&D development and validation.
The role will design and establish a centralized requirements and knowledge platform that provides a structured and efficient interface for EU and HQ teams to communicate, manage, track and validate product requirements and issues.
By systematically capturing EU requirements, market feedback, testing findings and lessons learned, and linking them to development and validation activities, the role will enable clearer EU–HQ communication, better requirement traceability, knowledge reuse and prevention of repeated issues across projects and releases.
Key Responsibilities
EU Market & Customer Requirements
Collect and consolidate EU market needs, customer feedback, testing findings, competitor benchmarking and relevant regulatory requirements.Translate market and customer inputs into clear, structured and actionable Smart Cockpit product requirements.Provide EU customer and market perspective to CN HQ R&D and cross-functional engineering teams.Coordinate with relevant EU stakeholders to ensure requirements reflect local market expectations.
EU–HQ Requirements Collaboration Platform
Design and establish a centralized digital platform to facilitate structured communication and collaboration between EU and CN HQ teams on Smart Cockpit requirements, issues and feedback.Provide a single, transparent source of information for requirements, market inputs, testing findings, decisions and validation status.Enable EU teams to submit, track and clarify requirements and issues, while allowing HQ R&D teams to review, respond, update and trace actions in a structured way.Continuously improve the platform based on project feedback and evolving EU–HQ collaboration needs.
Issue Prevention & Knowledge Reuse
Systematically capture recurring product issues, testing findings, customer complaints and lessons learned.Convert validated findings into reusable requirements, design principles and validation criteria.Identify recurring or previously known issues and ensure they are considered in future projects and product releases.Build mechanisms to prevent project teams from repeatedly solving the same problems.
Smart Cockpit Requirements Knowledge Pool
Design and maintain a structured Smart Cockpit requirements architecture and knowledge pool, including requirement taxonomy, relationships, version management and ownership.Enable efficient storage, retrieval, reuse and comparison of requirements across projects and product generations.Maintain requirement history and decision records to preserve organisational knowledge beyond individual projects or team members.
AI-Enabled Requirements Engineering
Develop and implement AI-enabled solutions for:Requirement classification and structuringRequirement decompositionDuplicate and inconsistency detectionIntelligent requirement retrievalMarket feedback analysisRequirement-to-test traceabilityKnowledge reuse and automated analysisExplore AI and digital engineering technologies to improve requirement quality, engineering efficiency and validation effectiveness.
Process & Continuous Improvement
Define and continuously improve Smart Cockpit requirements engineering processes and digital workflows.Analyse recurring EU issues and requirement gaps to identify opportunities for product and process improvement.Work closely with Smart Cockpit, engineering, testing and cross-functional teams to continuously improve the requirement-to-validation process.
Key Deliverables / Expected Outcomes
The role is expected to establish a measurable improvement in the following areas:
① Better requirement quality EU customer and market needs are converted into clear and actionable engineering requirements.
② Fewer repeated issues Lessons learned and recurring issues are captured and reused in future projects.
③ Better HQ–EU alignment HQ R&D receives structured requirements with clear rationale, evidence and validation criteria.
④ Full requirement traceability Requirements can be traced from market needs through development and validation.
⑤ Reusable engineering knowledge Smart Cockpit knowledge is retained and reusable across projects, releases and product generations.
⑥ Higher engineering efficiency AI and digital tools reduce manual requirement management, searching and analysis effort.
