Job Summary Equinix is seeking a DevSecOps Platform Engineer to help build, support, and improve our cloud-native platform engineering and security automation capabilities. This role will contribute to CI/CD pipeline development, platform automation, security integrations, and emerging AI-powered operational workflows that improve developer productivity and platform reliability. Working closely with platform, security, and software engineering teams, you will help implement solutions that enhance the software delivery lifecycle while supporting secure and scalable infrastructure. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys automation, cloud technologies, modern DevSecOps practices, and exploring practical applications of AI within engineering operations. Responsibilities CI/CD & Platform Engineering Contribute to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of secure CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and related toolingDevelop and maintain automation that improves deployment consistency, operational efficiency, and developer experienceAssist with implementation and support of cloud-native applications and platform servicesSupport containerized application deployments within Kubernetes environmentsTroubleshoot pipeline, deployment, and runtime issues in partnership with engineering teams DevSecOps & Security Automation Implement and maintain security scanning tools including SAST, DAST, and SCA within CI/CD workflowsAssist with integrating security controls throughout the software development lifecycleSupport secure management of secrets, credentials, and identity access controlsContribute to policy-as-code initiatives and automated compliance controlsPartner with Security teams to implement practical security guardrails that align with engineering workflows AI-Enabled Engineering Automation Assist in developing AI-assisted workflows that improve operational efficiency and developer productivityContribute to retrieval-based solutions that provide access to engineering documentation, runbooks, and operational knowledgeSupport implementation of agent-based automation using modern AI frameworksApply established security, governance, and monitoring controls when integrating AI capabilities into engineering workflowsParticipate in evaluating AI solutions for effectiveness, reliability, and operational value Cloud Infrastructure & Operations Support cloud infrastructure running within AWS, Azure, or GCP environmentsAssist with infrastructure automation and configuration management activitiesParticipate in monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response activitiesContribute to platform observability and operational improvements Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing activitiesDocument technical solutions, operational procedures, and engineering standardsCollaborate with engineers across Platform, Security, and Product teamsContinuously develop skills in cloud, DevSecOps, platform engineering, and AI technologies How You'll Spend Your Time - Focus Area Time CI/CD Pipeline Engineering & Platform Automation 35%Security Engineering & Compliance Automation 20%AI-Enabled Engineering Automation 20%Cloud Infrastructure & Kubernetes Support 15%Collaboration, Documentation & Knowledge Sharing 10% Qualifications Engineering & Platform Experience 3-5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, DevSecOps, Software Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related technical disciplineExperience supporting and enhancing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar platformsProficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, or JavaExperience working with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCPUnderstanding of modern application architectures, APIs, microservices, and distributed systemsExperience working with containers and Kubernetes environments Security & DevSecOps Understanding of Secure SDLC principles and DevSecOps practicesExperience integrating or utilizing security scanning technologies including SAST, DAST, and SCAFamiliarity with IAM, secrets management, and least privilege principlesUnderstanding of shift-left security and automated compliance concepts AI & Automation Understanding of generative AI concepts and practical engineering use casesFamiliarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) conceptsInterest in AI-powered automation and engineering workflow improvementUnderstanding of AI security considerations and responsible AI practices Preferred Qualifications Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as TerraformFamiliarity with GitOps methodologies and tools such as ArgoCDExperience with observability platforms including Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetryExposure to AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGenExperience supporting cloud-native applications in production environmentsRelevant cloud, Kubernetes, security, or DevOps certifications The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are: United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 118,000 - 176,000 USD / Annual Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
