We are partnering with an innovative technology company to help grow their engineering team and are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer with experience in motor control and/or embedded machine learning inference. The role is based in Adelaide, however full remote working is available for candidates located anywhere in Australia. Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available, and applicants must have full, unrestricted working rights in Australia. About the Role You will join a multidisciplinary engineering team developing advanced embedded systems used in next generation products. This role involves low level software development, performance optimisation, and working closely with hardware and algorithm teams to deliver reliable, production-ready solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain embedded software for real-time systemsImplement and optimise motor control algorithms and/or embedded ML inference solutionsWork closely with hardware and systems teams on integration and debuggingDevelop efficient, reliable firmware for resource-constrained environmentsParticipate in system design, code reviews and product development cyclesSupport testing, validation and performance optimisation activitiesRequired Skills & Experience Strong background in embedded software developmentProficiency in C/C++ for embedded systemsExperience with real-time or bare-metal systemsExperience in motor control and/or embedded machine learning/inferenceExperience working with microcontrollers or SoCsStrong debugging and problem-solving skillsExperience with communication protocols such as CAN, SPI, I2C, UART or EthernetEligibility Must have full rights to work in AustraliaVisa sponsorship cannot be offeredCandidates must currently reside in Australia
