Contract: Initial 9 months with a 12 month extension option

The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a high-profile Federal Government program responsible for delivering and maintaining enterprise integration solutions that underpin critical business capabilities.
Working within a collaborative and multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in designing, building and supporting modern Azure-based integration services that enable secure and reliable data exchange across enterprise platforms, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) systems, and custom applications.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and maintain enterprise integration solutions using Microsoft Azure services.Build and support APIs and web services that enable data sharing across multiple business systems.Develop and maintain Azure Functions, App Services, API Management and integration components.Enhance and maintain Azure DevOps deployment pipelines and release processes.Collaborate with architects, developers, business stakeholders and support teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.Produce technical documentation, solution designs and architectural artefacts throughout the development lifecycle.Investigate and resolve priority production issues, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.Design and implement data-sharing approaches across Azure storage platforms.Mentor developers and application support personnel to improve capability across the team.Contribute to risk identification, mitigation planning and delivery governance activities.Engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.Required Skills & ExperienceEssentialDegree qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.Strong experience designing and developing integration solutions using Microsoft Azure, including:Azure Enterprise Service Bus (ESB)Azure App ServiceAzure FunctionsAzure API Management (APIM)Demonstrated experience building enterprise applications and integrations using:.NET Framework / .NET technologiesAPIs and Web ServicesExperience working within complex ICT environments and multidisciplinary teams.Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills.Experience with application lifecycle management and ITIL practices.Sound understanding of current and emerging technology trends and their practical application to business outcomes.DesirableExperience with Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS) including CI/CD pipeline development and deployment automation.Experience developing and maintaining SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) solutions.Experience supporting governance, planning and delivery of ICT projects.Experience working in Agile delivery environments.Relevant Microsoft or industry certifications, or current study toward certification.What We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate will be:
