Description
We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!
The Role
• Develop and maintain a Delphi-based product for pharmacies and prescribers, working with a mixed stack of modern and legacy Delphi, and integrating with healthcare data standards.
• Design and implement changes to measurably improve performance, stability, and integration with modern services (.NET, Express.js, MSVC components).
• Collaborate with internal teams to connect Delphi components with modern web and data services, establishing sustainable integration paths.
• Utilize AI tools for accelerating refactoring, analysis, and documentation of the existing Delphi codebase, sharing insights with the team.
• Actively contribute to the modernization roadmap of the product, balancing reliable delivery with gradual platform evolution.
What You'll Need
• Several years of experience in Delphi development, ideally with business-critical, long-standing application systems requiring high availability and data quality.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and integration patterns, including experience with legacy modernization.
• Proficiency with build, deployment, and version control tools.
• Proven effective use of AI in software engineering, ideally including AI agents, workflows, AI pipelines, and context engineering.
• Fluent German and English, enabling effective communication with both domestic business departments and international teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills, pragmatic and self-directed work ethic, high proactivity, innovative spirit, and an entrepreneurial mindset aligned with a healthcare purpose and patient safety.
