Job Description The Sales Engineer (SE) is a technical sales specialist responsible for enabling the sale of complex Risk & Fraud related Visa products through deep solution expertise, technical validation, and value‑based selling. Sales Engineers partner closely with Specialist Sellers and Account Executives throughout the pre‑sales and deal cycle, ensuring solutions are technically feasible, differentiated, and aligned to client architecture and business objectives. Key Responsibilities Pre‑Sales & Deal Support Partner with Sales during discovery to understand client business problems, technical environments, and solution requirements in the domain of fraud management, AML, and cybersecurity in financial servicesLead solution design discussions, whiteboarding, and architecture reviews with clients and internal stakeholders.Deliver technical product demonstrations, proof‑of‑concepts, and end‑to‑end user experience walkthroughs.Serve as the technical subject‑matter expert during sales cycles for high‑complexity products and solutions. Solution Design & Technical Validation Support the design and validation of payments, financial services, fraud, risk, or security solutions and products.Design technically sound, scalable risk and fraud solutions aligned to client architecture and Visa product capabilities.Validate technical feasibility and sign off on solution designs to accelerate activation and reduce implementation risk.Engage Product, Solution Management, and Client Services when new capabilities or non‑standard configurations are required. Proposals & Commercial Support Contribute to technical sections of proposals, including solution descriptions, implementation approaches, and activation considerations.Support revenue modeling, deal attachment, and activation planning in partnership with Sales. Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD Preferred Qualifications 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhDExperience in payments, financial services, fraud, risk, or security solutions.Prior hands‑on exposure to APIs, integrations, or enterprise software architecturesStrong technical mindset with experience in complex solution selling, engineering, or technical consulting across fraud, AML, and cybersecurity in financial servicesExperience with fraud management platforms.Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for non‑technical audiences.Experience working in client‑facing roles involving discovery, solution design, and stakeholder management.Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally across Sales, Product, Solution Management, and Client Services. Information for US Applicants For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $199,900.00 to $ 320,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Work Hours Varies upon the needs of the department. Travel Requirements This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
