Description

About Us LGT is the largest Private Banking and Asset Management group in the world to be owned by an entrepreneurial family. As the family office of the Princely House of Liechtenstein, we have years of experience in the management of sizeable sums of assets. Your challenge Your future? It won’t simply be programmed. It will be developed by you. Are you interested in computers and technology, and do you want to understand how apps and digital solutions are really created? Do you want to do more than just consume technology — do you want to develop, test, and improve it yourself? Then LGT is the right place for you. With us, you won’t just gain insight into the world of IT — you will become part of it. You will contribute to exciting digital solutions, get to know modern technologies, and continue to grow step by step in an international environment. Code more. Understand more. Make more of your potential. Your apprenticeship with us begins with LGT’s internal foundation year in Bendern. There, together with apprentices specialising in platform development, you will build your core IT knowledge and lay the foundation for everything that follows. In your second and third years, you will work in various departments — some fixed, others chosen according to your interests. This allows you to actively shape your training and discover which topics and technologies inspire you most. In your final year, you will once again have the opportunity to choose your preferred area, deepen your knowledge there, and complete your final project in that specialist field. For us, application development is about more than code and theory. It is about creative thinking, developing solutions, working as part of a team, trying out new ideas, and learning something new every day. Right in the middle of it, not just watching from the sidelines At LGT, you are not simply “the IT apprentice.” You are part of the team. From the very beginning, you will be supported by people who take you seriously, encourage you, and accompany you on your journey. Experienced practical trainers will support you in your day-to-day work, give you guidance, and help you grow both professionally and personally. What you can expect from us Look forward to an apprenticeship that offers far more than a traditional start in the world of IT. You can expect varied tasks, exciting assignments in different departments within LGT IT, and a strong network of more than 40 apprentices as well as over 370 IT specialists. In addition, you will benefit from LGT’s internal foundation year, apprentice meetings, training camps, and many opportunities to continue developing during and after your apprenticeship. And if you would also like to make a creative contribution, you can join the @LGTYoung social media team workshop and bring in your own ideas. Your profile You are curious, motivated, and eager to truly understand technology. You are interested in computers and digital solutions, enjoy logical thinking, and want to play an active role in developing new ideas. If you also have good grades at Realschule in Liechtenstein or Sekundarschule in Switzerland — especially in mathematics-related subjects — and enjoy learning new things and helping to shape the future, you should definitely apply.
