Role Description This is a full-time, on-site DevOps Engineer role based in Houston, TX. The DevOps Engineer will design, implement, and maintain infrastructure and deployment pipelines to support scalable, reliable applications. Responsibilities include building and managing Infrastructure as Code templates, configuring and monitoring CI/CD pipelines, and administering Linux-based systems. The role involves collaborating closely with software development teams to streamline releases, improve automation, enhance observability, and optimize performance. The DevOps Engineer will also troubleshoot production issues, implement security and compliance best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement of tools and processes. Qualifications Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills with tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar, and experience defining reproducible environments.Foundational Software Development experience in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, Bash) for automation and tooling.Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) for build and deployment pipelines.Solid System Administration background with Linux, including configuration, monitoring, security hardening, and performance tuning.Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly beneficial.Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stacks) and incident management practices.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and document infrastructure and processes.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior DevOps or SRE experience is a plus.
