Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense. What You Will Do: Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Software Engineer to support their manufacturing shop floor. The Software Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day development, support, and troubleshooting of custom and off-the-shelf manufacturing applications. This will include but not limited to: Machine tool HMI screens, reporting or visualization tools such as manufacturing tracking and priority systems, Manufacturing process data consolidation, and Statistical Process Control tools (SPC). Design and create HMI / SCADA interfaces for shop floor machine tools. Design and create custom business applications to collect, analyze and report data critical to plant operations. Analyze application performance and debug and/or repair as necessary. Modify custom applications to accommodate new functionality needed to satisfy compliance or business requirements. Design reporting solutions and present a mock-up of the expected reporting output for review and approval. Convert legacy software applications to current technologies. Qualifications You Must Have: Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 2 or more years of experience in software engineering, in manufacturing operations or similar environment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with a programming language such as .Net, Java, or Python. The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
