Full Stack Developer – Frontend Focus Location: New York City, NY Salary Range: $150,000 – $250,000 Base About the Role We are seeking a talented Full Stack Developer with a strong frontend focus to join our growing engineering team in New York City. In this role, you will design and build modern, high-performance web applications, with a primary focus on creating intuitive, responsive, and scalable frontend experiences while contributing to backend services and APIs. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate product requirements and designs into polished user experiences. This position is ideal for developers who are passionate about frontend engineering but enjoy working across the full technology stack. Requirements Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of professional experience in full-stack or frontend-focused software development Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript Strong experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js, Angular, or Vue.js Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and modern UI development Experience building reusable, scalable, and maintainable frontend components Experience with state management, component architecture, and frontend performance optimization Familiarity with modern frontend tooling such as Vite, Webpack, npm/yarn/pnpm, or similar technologies Experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services Experience with backend development using Node.js, Python, Java, Go, or similar technologies Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and modern development workflows Strong understanding of web accessibility, browser compatibility, and responsive UI principles Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, product managers, and engineering teams Preferred Qualifications Experience with React and Next.js in production environments Experience with TypeScript and strongly typed frontend architectures Familiarity with design systems, component libraries, and tools such as Storybook Experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Jest, Vitest, Cypress, or Playwright Experience with Tailwind CSS, Material UI, or similar UI frameworks Experience with GraphQL and modern API architectures Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP Experience with Docker and Kubernetes Experience building and scaling SaaS applications Knowledge of authentication, authorization, web security, SEO, and frontend performance optimization Experience implementing analytics, monitoring, and observability for web applications Interest in AI-powered applications, AI-assisted interfaces, and modern web technologies Benefits & Compensation Base Salary: $150,000 – $250,000, depending on experience and qualifications Competitive equity or bonus opportunities Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits Generous paid time off and holidays Professional development and learning opportunities Opportunity to work with modern frontend and full-stack technologies Collaborative, innovative engineering environment in New York City
