Staff Software Engineer / Technical Lead

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner! The Role • Architect and implement a modern Assessment platform using modern technologies. • Establish and champion best-in-class engineering practices for scalable, resilient, and flexible systems. • Define and enforce coding standards, architectural patterns, and quality metrics. • Lead technical design discussions, perform code reviews, and provide hands-on guidance. • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and contribute to DevSecOps practices. • Contribute to platform hosting, deployment, and runtime strategies. What You'll Need • Systems-level mindset with the ability to balance short-term delivery needs against long-term architectural health. • Hands-on technical leadership experience, comfortable operating at both strategic and implementation levels. • Expert-level proficiency in modern application development, including TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, React, React Native, Flutter, Swift, and Kotlin. • Strong experience designing and consuming GraphQL and REST-based APIs. • Deep understanding of database design and performance, with experience using PostgreSQL and MongoDB. • 10+ years of professional software development experience, with a significant portion in senior, staff, or principal-level roles.
