Want to build AI that actually makes a difference? Our client is an early-stage, well-funded HealthTech startup developing an AI platform that helps doctors spend less time on documentation and more time caring for patients. Their product is already being used by hospitals and medical practices across Germany, and they're now looking for their first engineering hire to join the founding team. This is a unique opportunity to work side-by-side with the CTO and have a direct impact on both the product and the company's technical direction. What you'll be working on: • Building and scaling Python backend services for real-time AI applications • Developing streaming audio pipelines and speech-to-text integrations • Improving LLM performance through prompt engineering, evaluation, routing, and optimization • Managing modern cloud infrastructure, Docker, CI/CD, and observability • Launching new AI features and working directly with healthcare professionals to solve real-world problems We're looking for someone with: ✅ 3+ years of Python backend experience ✅ Hands-on experience with Applied AI, LLMs, or real-time systems ✅ Strong ownership mindset and startup mentality ✅ Excellent communication skills ✅ German - C2 ✅ Ability to work 3 days/week from the Berlin office Nice to have: FastAPI, Docker, PostgreSQL/Supabase, WebSockets, audio streaming, Flutter/Dart, or previous startup/HealthTech experience.
