We're constantly working with some of the world's largest Publishers and most popular AAA games. Here in Australia we have studios located in Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne and employ about two hundred of Australia's leading game professionals. Our studio brands operating under the Keywords Studios group are Tantalus Media (Vic, SA, Qld), and Liquid Development (Vic, SA, Qld). As one of the regions leading co-development studios our teams work across a variety of projects from ports, DLC and expansion packs, to remasters. The huge variety of game styles, provides a rich and rewarding learning experience for our employees. This position will be based in Melbourne, and will be hybrid. We are not considering fully remote, or sponsorship applications. Job Description We're looking for several experienced Game Programmers who are eager to help us deliver the consistent level of quality and service our business is renowned for across the globe. You will join our growing team of developers and work on building various game features under the Keywords Studio Australia portfolios. Key Responsibilities: Working closely with producers, game designers and artists to implement game features using C++ and/or Lua to a project scheduleTesting, debugging, refining, optimising and maintaining game functionality on console and PC platforms. Staying up to date with new technologies and architecturesFollowing Keywords' standards and best practicesAssisting and mentoring other programmers in your areas of expertise Skills, Abilities and Qualifications: Demonstrated programming skills in a strongly typed language such as C++Demonstrable experience using Unreal Engine or Custom EnginesExcellent problem-solving skillsWell developed skills in at least one game related discipline (e.g. 3D Maths, AI, Physics, UI, etc.)Ability to write clear, maintainable codeDemonstrated ability to create and deliver to deadlinesAbility to work as part of a teamExcellent written and verbal communication skillsGood interpersonal skills and pleasant personalityAbility to ramp up quickly with unfamiliar code bases or technical skills.
