DevOps Engineer – AWS & AI Type: Perm ideally or contract Location: Melbourne preferred | Sydney considered We are working with a leading technology consultancy who is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join their team, working across modern AWS environments with a growing focus on Generative and Agentic AI. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of cloud, platform engineering and AI, helping build the infrastructure and engineering foundations needed to support modern applications and emerging AI workloads. We are seeking someone with a strong background across DevOps and Platform Engineering who enjoys being hands-on with cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD and containerised environments. What You'll Be Doing: Building and maintaining scalable and secure AWS cloud infrastructureDeveloping and improving CI/CD pipelines and deployment processesBuilding and managing environments through Infrastructure as CodeSupporting containerised workloads using Docker and KubernetesDriving automation across infrastructure and platform engineeringWorking across cloud security, IAM and platform best practicesSupporting the deployment of GenAI and Agentic AI workloadsWorking with Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore componentsCollaborating with engineering and AI teams to take solutions into production What We're Looking For: Strong hands-on experience across: AWS and its core cloud servicesCI/CD – GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps or similarInfrastructure as Code – particularly Terraform and/or CloudFormationDocker & Kubernetes, ideally within AWS/EKS environmentsPrevious DevOps and Platform Engineering experienceKnowledge or experience with Amazon Bedrock and AgentCoreScripting and automation using Python, Bash or GoA strong understanding of cloud security and modern engineering practicesExposure to observability, monitoring, incident management and on-call tooling such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus or PagerDuty would be beneficial but isn't essential. The ideal person will be a strong AWS-focused engineer who understands how modern platforms are built and automated, while also being excited about the shift towards GenAI and agentic applications in production. This is a great opportunity to work across forward-thinking projects combining AWS, DevOps, Platform Engineering and AI.
