Role Description As a Senior Engineer at Xlepius Limited, you will design, build, and maintain core systems that power the company’s AI-based triage and documentation products. You will contribute to architecture decisions, implement robust and scalable services, and ensure system performance and reliability in production environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, testable code, reviewing contributions from other team members, and collaborating with product, clinical, and data teams to translate requirements into technical solutions. You will support deployments, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve engineering practices and tooling. This is a full-time on-site role based in Auckland, working closely with cross-functional colleagues in a collaborative environment. Qualifications Strong proficiency in software engineering, including modern programming languages, data structures, algorithms, and system design.Experience with backend service development, APIs, and integration with cloud platforms and databases.Knowledge of machine learning or AI-driven products, particularly in applying models to real-world workflows and production systems.Familiarity with DevOps practices such as CI/CD, containerization, monitoring, and performance optimization.Ability to write reliable tests, conduct code reviews, and uphold high standards of code quality and security.Comfort working in close partnership with clinical and product stakeholders, translating domain needs into technical solutions.Prior experience in healthcare, healthtech, or other regulated domains is beneficial.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Strong communication skills, collaborative mindset, and readiness to mentor and support other engineers.Fluency in Chinese is a not required but preferred.
