Senior Backend Software Engineer, Enterprise Technology Services

Summary The IS&T Enterprise Technology Services, which enables Apple through paradigm‑shifting, global‑scale platforms and services, is currently in search of a highly motivated and results-driven software engineer. This role requires an individual with exceptional development and analytical abilities who has a proven history of designing and developing highly scalable, low-latency, and distributed systems and platforms. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of complex system architectures and possess a track record of delivering robust, high-performance solutions. This position demands not only technical proficiency but also a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to achieving outstanding results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Description The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing applications which deals in Petabyte of data and millions of transactions per hour. The candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing and maintaining a highly scalable distributed platforms. Responsibilities Architecture, Design and rollout of new features.Design and Development of applications around data services.Evaluating products, emerging technologies and use them into projects.Responsibility includes operation and maintenance of the existing platform. Minimum Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in Java / J2EE Stack.Minimum 5 years of experience building integration platforms.Expertise in developing highly scalable distributed systems.Expertise with relational databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL and SQL language.Expertise with NoSQL databases like Couchbase, Redis, MongoDB, etc.Knowledge of Unix / Linux.Should be self motivated, must be able to grasp issues quickly and make educated, critical judgment in the absence of complete information.Good leadership and project management skills.Good oral/written communication skills.Should be able to work with various cross functional teams to build and deliver Preferred Qualifications Experience with service integration Sync/ASync using REST/SOAP over HTTP /gRPC is a plusExperience working with AliCloud/Alibaba Cloud is a plus.Experience with actor systems like Pekko is a plus.Experience with contributing to Apache open source projects is a plus.Programming in Python, Lua and GO Lang is a Plus.
