Perform Paintless Dent repairsby using PDR techniques and various tools on small to midsize dent damages on exterior of vehicles to companystandardsResponsibilities:File, grind, sand and smooth filled or repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand toolsPound out small dents with a hammer, pick hammer, or punchIdentifies the most appropriate option / solution to adjust or improve existing approaches.Plan work to be performedPosition dolly blocks against surfaces of dented areas and beat opposite surfaces to remove dents, using hammers, metaldolly’s, air dent pullers, slide hammer dent pullers, picks, etc.Completes and ensures availability of appropriate documentation related to the production process.Perform quality and visual inspectionMay modify existing processes, methods, and approachesCompletes and ensures availability of appropriate documentation related to the production process.Identifies the most appropriate option / solution to adjust or improve existing approaches.May be required to interpret or clarify technical information to aid understandingProvides guidance, coaching, and direction to more junior team members on the jobParticipate in the Continuous Improvement ProgramWorks under broad supervisionParticipates in regularly scheduled team meetingsWill perform other duties as assignedQualifikationenQualifications:High School Diploma or GED required· Required: 4+ years relevant experience; OR Relevant certificate + 3 years relevant experience; OR Relevantassociates degree + 1 year relevant experience· Preferred: 5+ years relevant experience; OR Relevant certificate + 4 years relevant experience; OR Relevant assoc.degree + 2 years relevant experienceAble to perform the essential functions of the jobKnowledge & Skills:· Strong problem solving skills· Knowledge of metal finishing techniques: Examines and feels surface of metal to detect defects, such as dents,scratches, or breaks in metal· Experience with sheet metal and automotive body repair and rework· Experience in a manufacturing setting· Spot welding experience is a plus· I-CAR training is a plusWe are all in for change.
