Position Summary
Yotta Energy is seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer III to own and optimize the software delivery lifecycle from code commit through production deployment.
This role is responsible for maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing release processes, monitoring production systems, and ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our cloud-connected platforms.
You will collaborate closely with software, firmware, and support teams to build highly automated, observable, and resilient deployment environments that support distributed solar and energy storage technologies.
This is a senior individual contributor role focused on cloud infrastructure, release engineering, automation, and operational excellence
ResponsibilitiesOwn and maintain CI/CD pipelines from development through production deploymentManage software releases, including branching strategies, build promotion, deployment, and rollback proceduresMonitor and maintain production applications, cloud infrastructure, and supporting servicesConfigure and maintain observability platforms, including logging, metrics, monitoring, and alertingTroubleshoot production incidents, performance bottlenecks, and system reliability issuesDevelop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CDK, or similar toolsCollaborate with software engineers to ensure applications are deployable, testable, and production readySupport the integration of cloud services, IoT devices, and embedded systems into deployment workflowsMaintain release documentation, operational runbooks, and incident response proceduresImplement best practices for security, scalability, reliability, and disaster recoveryContinuously improving deployment automation, release velocity, and system observability
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Cloud Operations, or Infrastructure EngineeringExperience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, GitLab CI/CD, or similar platformsExperience deploying and supporting cloud-native applications in AWS or an equivalent cloud platform, with strong knowledge of Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, DynamoDB, EC2, RDS, S3, Route 53, load balancers, and IAMExperience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or equivalentExperience with configuration management and fleet automation using Ansible or equivalentProficiency in Python, Bash, or another scripting languageExperience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutionsExcellent written and verbal communication skills
